As a prospective marketer, you create an account, search Clickbank’s database for suitable products and decide which ones you want to promote. Each product has its sales page. For your selected product(s), Clickbank will give you your own specific link - with a tracking option. You put your link in your site – or your ad – and Clickbank uses this to make sure you get paid when somebody purchase the product. You can – and should – use tracking id’s to identify exactly where your clicks are coming from.
Most of the other Online Marketplace sites work in a similar way with minor differences. Clickbank sends checks; Paydot pays via Paypal.
Clickbank has a 2-weekly pay cycle; others have a 30 day cycle.
With Clickbank, you get paid when you send somebody to a merchant’s sales page and they buy the product. With other sites, it is possible for you to write your own sales page and link to their ordering page.
